There seems to be some very good youth hostels in Luxembourg[www.youthhostels.lu/]. Most of them cater for families and somewhat cheaper than hotels are. Tom Galvin's Travalouge Page [1] has some consise and very useful information about the country from sigt-seeing perspective [2].
