There seems to be some very good youth hostels in Luxembourg[1]. Most of them cater for families and somewhat cheaper than hotels are. Many offer individual rooms for families, some even with attached sanitary facilities. (as opposed to shared) Tom Galvin's Travelogues Page [2] has some concise and very useful information about the country from sight-seeing perspective [3].
